Quite A Task

I need to build my resume from scratch. As I've recently noted elsewhere on this site, my current situation is killing me. Huge amounts of stress at work, and no friends to hang out with so I'm socially isolated. Take those conditions for about six months and you're ready to get out. So I want to look for a job around Raleigh, where my best friends and the only family I've had since moving away from Hudson now live. However, I lost my resume with everything else on my hard drive last year when I accidentally formatted all my Linux partitions. Must...build...<gasp>...from...<arg>...scratch!

Need New Hardware

I downloaded the Quake 4 demo last night and fired it up this morning. It ran at about 1 frame per second. So I turned all the graphis settings down as far as they would go, even set the resolution to 640x480. Now it runs at about 8 frames per second. It's pretty much unplayable. And this is on an XP 3000 (2 GHz CPU) with an nVidia GeForce 2 MX 400 video card. Does this seem ridiculous, or am I just that much behind the times?
