Had another long list of things to get done this weekend, but I've been so tired I didn't feel like doing anything. One thing at least I don't have to worry about anymore though: my car finally got towed away. Getting rid of it had been one of the things on my list, but last night when I was coming back from the mail box I noticed the car wasn't there anymore.
I'm starting to feel a little better now after two days of doing nothing but eating and sleeping, so maybe I'll at least get my laundry done today. Still need to work on my resume and look for jobs in Raleigh. And get a GA driver's license so I can get a new car. And get a new car. And work on my backup server business. And get Barney fixed.
I'll probably just go take a nap though. Maybe next week.

I've started a new project: to launch a company that provides hard drive space for people who need to have remote backups of their data. It will be a side business at first, but with luck after a few years I will be able to quit my regular job. The nice thing about backup servers is that they require very little support - just have to replace a dead hardware component every now and then. Pretty much all of the work will be in marketing it, which will be a nice challenge for me since I've never done anything at all like that before.
I've already started inquiring about pricing options for rack space. I need to find a datacenter in Raleigh (since that's where I plan to be living later this year) that will host my backup servers.
I've been looking into hardware for the backup servers themselves. This week I plan to order a bunch of parts to build a server to test out the configuration.
There's lots to do before I can actually launch the business. The biggest task is to build a company web site, which will involve a customer interface, an administrative interface for me, and integration with PayPal so I can get paid. I hope to sign up my first customer before June.
I'm thinking of calling it DataRedundant.

Yesterday I took my keyboard apart and cleaned it. I snapped a couple pictures of the inside showing the cat hair and food crumbs that had accumulated there over eight and a half years.
