Dumb FedEx Driver

Date: Mon 20 March 2006
Time: 1:17 PM EST

The driver who screwed up my deliveries last week finally got in touch with me (I actually had to call FedEx again and get them to have him call me). After several confused minutes of conversation, it became clear that he delivered the packages to the wrong apartment complex. So, some stranger living in apartment 610 in Polo Club Apartments has about $500 worth of my property. That happens to be the next apartment complex down the road from mine, so I'm about to take a quick shower and head down there now. The driver said he would swing by there today as he makes his rounds, but I'll probably get there first.

More FedEx Fun

The same thing happened today with a second package. They say that the local FedEx terminal is closed until Monday, so that is the earliest I will hear from them on this. And meanwhile my hardware is in somebody else's posession and I can't do anything about it.

A third package just shipped today and should be here Tuesday. Let's see if they screw that one up too.

Package Fun

Date: Fri 17 March 2006

A few days ago, I ordered a bunch of parts to build a server. Today I checked the tracking for the most expensive (about $500) shipment and found that, according to FedEx, it had been delivered yesterday afternoon at 4:00 P.M. (I was home at that time), signed for by "A Resident." I called FedEx, and the lady said she would try to get in touch with the driver, and that meanwhile I should check and see if the package was left behind a bush or something! I think I'm screwed.
