One Room Clean

I finally finished cleaning that one room at my dad's house (just happened to coincide with Father's Day). Next weekend, I'll start on the next room, the spare bedroom, which will be my bedroom after I move there.
Mop, mop, mop, all day long....

I made the first real effort at cleaning my dad's house yesterday. Boy, what a project. I focused on just one room, but even in that small area I filled up five garbage bags with the trash that was just lying around. Then I started mopping, which was slow going. For one thing, the water in the bucket turned black the second time I dipped the mop in it. Also, there's lots of furniture in there, but no place to put it while I worked on the room since the rest of the house is just as cluttered. So I shuffled the furniture around within the room and just mopped little sections at a time. As of now, a meter-wide strip of floor running the length of the room at the back wall, except for one corner under a bookcase, is clean (though most of it is covered by the couch).
That's all for this week. I'm about to head back to Stone Mountain this afternoon to hang out with Binky for a few days, and do some upkeep around my own apartment. Then I'll be back this weekend to finish off that room and possibly start on the next one. I'll bring my camera next time. I meant to bring it this time to get some before and after pictures, but I forgot it when I was packing.
The Spell Is Broken

I was in NC for a week. After I got back, the urge to just sit at the computer all day was gone. I've gotten some cleaning done around the apartment.
We'll see how long this lasts.
