Wireless Network

I took the money I made and bought a wireless router and PCI adapter. Once I got it working, I moved my computer from the living room into my bedroom. Yay.

Working From Home

Date: Tue 29 August 2006
Time: 10:43 AM EDT

On my last day at GNAX back in February, one of our biggest customers asked me if I wanted to come work for him. I declined, because my experience with GNAX had left me disenchanted with system administration. He told me to get in touch with him if I ever needed some extra money.

So the other day I was thinking about all these little repair jobs around Dad's house that need to be done. I don't want to spend any money on something like that if I don't have an income, so I sent that guy an email and asked if there was anything I could do for him remotely. He said there were some small projects I could do. I did the first one that night. I started on another one last night, and I should have it done by noon today.

Gradually Cleaning

Date: Tue 8 August 2006
Time: 10:32 AM EDT

I'm still working on cleaning Dad's house. Dad helps a little here and there. We got the last of the garbage from the living room floor thrown away, and I vacuumed the carpet. The carpet needs to be thrown out though, along with the couch.

Besides their bedrooms, which I'm not touching, the only room in the house left to clean up is the laundry room. I might start on that today.
