Wasted Day, and Watch Still Fast

Date: Sun 26 June 2005
Time: 8:58 PM EDT

Wasted another day playing Grand Theft Auto. Didn't do laundry...still have a bunch of stinky clothes on my closet floor. I washed a shirt and pair of underwear by hand in the bathtub so I'll have something to wear tomorrow. The laundromat is open 24/7, so maybe I'll do it tomorrow after work.

As it turns out, my watch still is fast. It's now 28 seconds ahead, instead of 9 like yesterday. Maybe I set it back too far one day while adjusting it.

Time to feed the cats.

I did my grocery shopping. Still need to do laundry though...must do that tomorrow.

GTA and my Watch

Date: Sat 25 June 2005
Time: 7:28 PM EDT

I got Grand Theft Auto for the PS2 yesterday. I've been doing nothing else this weekend except playing it. I've wasted the first two days of my weekend (I get three off each week). Maybe I can salvage some of today by getting my grocery shopping done.

My watch changed its speed some time in the last few weeks. It used to be fast; I would have to set it back a minute every five days or so. Now it's always behind. I haven't paid attention to the rate. I'm going to move it ahead a couple of minutes right now to get back on time, and make a note of it and then compare a few days from now. Okay, as of 7:32pm by my computer's clock (which is kept in sync via ntp), my watch is about 9 seconds ahead (I can't affect the second hand, so I wait till it gets to 12 and then set to minute hand to the closest minute).

My life must be pretty dull if I dedicate a significant chunk of my first blog entry in twenty days to my watch being slow instead of fast.

Now, let's see if I can convince myself to go to the grocery store.
